Jesse Dogillo, CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®, AEP®, founder of Bay Area Financial Advisers, provides private client financial, wealth and estate planning consulting and counseling to individuals and small business owners. Securities transactions are through McClurg Capital Corp – members FINRA/SIPC. He has over 35 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
The son of a US Army veteran, Jesse also works to promote financial literacy to our US military service members and their families by providing unbiased, solution- focused, personal financial counseling, education and readiness services.
In 2020, Jesse was reappointed by the California Insurance Commissioner to an additional three-year term to serve in his administration as a member of the Curriculum Board. In 2023, he was elected Chairperson. The board oversees the development of education for agents, brokers, and those seeking professional designations.
Jesse has extensive industry leadership experience which include The Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP), where he served as the 95th national board president (2023-2024). In 2024, the organization merged with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), Jesse is currently serving as national trustee (2024-2027).
Kathleen Owings, LACP graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in International Relations. Upon graduating, she served as an active-duty officer in the Army Corps of Engineers and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service in a combat zone during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Kathleen began her career in the financial services industry with New England Financial in 2007. She was named by NAIFA's Advisor Today as one of their “Four Under Forty” in 2018. Kathleen continues to give back her time and energy though her work with NAIFA and Home Front Military Network. Kathleen is a #1 bestselling author with her book titled “Put Your Money to Work: A Woman’s Guide to Financial Confidence.” She wants to inspire as many women as she can to find their financial confidence and achieve success. Kathleen completed her first 50k ultramarathon in 2021 and supported her husband on his first successful 100-mile race in 2022 with more to come in the future.
John D. Richardson, RICP®, LACP, has been providing sound financial advice for his clients since 2005. John uses these specializations to advise his clients on a variety of financial matters including retirement planning, investment planning, and risk management.
John has served in several leadership roles for NAIFA at the local, state, and national levels, including: 2012 President of NAIFA-Nashville; 2019 State President of NAIFA-Tennessee; three-time moderator of NAIFA’s premier professional and personal development course, Leadership in Life Institute (LILI); volunteer lobbyist who frequently meets with elected state and federal legislators at the state level and twice a year in Washington D.C., 2020 and 2025 NAIFA Strategic Planning Committees; and 2020-2023 NAIFA Governance Committee.
In 2018, John was the recipient of the NAIFA Young Advisors Team (YAT) Leader of the Year award which recognizes the top financial professional in the nation, based on service to his clients, his community, and his fellow financial professionals. In 2023, he was the recipient of the NAIFA Presidential Citation award which recognizes the top volunteer leader in the nation who has shown extraordinary dedication to NAIFA and performed services to the association above and beyond expectations.
In 2022, John was elected to a four-year term of office as the State Executive Committeeman for Senate District 21 (Nashville, TN) with the Tennessee Republican Party. In this role, his responsibilities include recruiting successful people in the private sector to run for political office, providing support for their campaigns, and attending quarterly Tennessee GOP state committee meetings.
